Two men have been charged over an attack in Antrim town in which a teenager had part of each of his ears bitten off.

The victim - a man in his late teens - was attacked at a pub in High Street on 12 May.

Two men, aged 20 and 28, were arrested in Leeds this week by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

They were charged on Thursday and are to appear in court in Coleraine on Friday.

The victim was treated in hospital after the assault.

A PSNI detective inspector thanked West Yorkshire Police and members of the public for assisting the ongoing investigation.
