Police are treating a large fire that destroyed a leisure centre as suspicious.
No-one was hurt when the blaze broke out at Salford's Clarendon Leisure Centre in Liverpool Street at about 03:00 BST on Friday.
The fire, which was tackled by 40 firefighters, led to the roof collapsing over the swimming pool.
Greater Manchester Police said it was investigating the cause of the fire and there had been no arrests.
Det Sgt Karl Perry described it as “upsetting and shocking”.
“Thankfully no-one was hurt but I appreciate that many people will be upset at the loss of this community asset.”
He urged anyone with information and footage to contact the force.
