An investigation has been launched into an unexplained death in Slough.

Police officers attended Herschel Park at 13:04 BST on Sunday where they found the remains of a person, Thames Valley Police said.

A scene watch is in place around the park and is expected to remain for several days, the force added.

Det Insp Nick Hind said: "There is a great deal of work to do to find out the identity of the person and exactly what has happened.

β€œWhile these incidents will no doubt cause concern to people in and around Slough, I’d like to reassure people that we are conducting a full and thorough investigation."
