Man stabbed as couple attacked at a house

A man was stabbed in the back and a woman was hurt when they were attacked by four men inside a house.
Police were called after the couple were assaulted in a property on Dartmouth Street in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, at about 02:45 GMT on Thursday.
They were both taken to hospital but neither of their injuries were believed to be serious, Staffordshire Police said.
The force confirmed it was being treated as an isolated incident and a cordon is in place on the street as inquiries were made.
A police spokesperson said the believed the four men got into the house between 01:00 and 01:30 GMT on Thursday.
βOfficers are progressing lines of enquiry at pace to identify those involved and gather evidence around the investigation,β they added.
