Van catches fire on A30 near Launceston

A van caught fire on the A30 near Launceston in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it sent a crew from Launceston to the scene at 05:23 BST.

A spokesperson said on arrival, firefighters found a Ford Transit "well alight" and requested a second appliance from Launceston.

Devon and Cornwall Police joined fire crews at the incident to help manage traffic, they added.
