An arson investigation has been launched into a house fire in Shildon.
The blaze broke out on Victoria Street shortly after 22:10 GMT on Tuesday.
Fire crews arrived within minutes and spent more than an hour on the terraced street as they brought the flames under control.
Appealing for information, a spokesman for Durham Constabulary said nobody was inside the property at the time and nobody was injured.
