A stretch of the M6 is to close to motorists overnight to allow for resurfacing works and bridge joint repairs.
The work will be carried in phases from Monday between Junctions 8 and 10 due to the deteriorating condition of the road.
National Highways said the essential work, near Walsall and Wolverhampton, would be carried out on weekdays between 20:00 BST and 06:00 BST when traffic numbers were lower.
The southbound carriageway will be targeted first before the scheme begins on the northbound carriageway from 18 July, with works expected to end in November.
and carriageway and lane closures are available online.
