Jersey's National Trust took over the disused building in 2022

A World War Two German electricity substation in Jersey could be turned into self-catering holiday accommodation if planning permission is approved.

The National Trust for Jersey took over the disused building in Grouville in 2022, after it was donated to the trust.

A planning application put in by the trust proposes it is turned into self-catering holiday accommodation with parking and storage.

It outlined there would also be alterations to vehicle access on to La Rue du Moulin de Bas.

The trust had previously described the substation as in a "state of disrepair" and had received £30,000 in donations to restore it.

A decision date is yet to be announced.
