A man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences following an incident at a Worcestershire train station.

Officers were called to Malvern Link railway station at about 04:30 GMT on Wednesday after concerns for a man's welfare.

West Mercia Police said he "produced a firearm" when officers arrived on the scene, and the 32-year-old was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.

Sgt Jason Maiden from Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team has called it an "isolated incident" with no wider risk to the public.
