A man has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering after an estimated £10,000 in cash was found by police during a drugs raid.

Officers executed three warrants linked to drug dealing on Archer Road, Beoley Road East and Other Road in Redditch, Worcestershire on Friday morning.

A 21-year-man was detained after the cash was seized at an address on Other Road, West Mercia Police said.

Mobile phones recovered from all three addresses will be analysed as inquiries continue, it said.

Safer Neighbourhood Inspector Richard Field said the warrants had involved "multiple teams from the force working together".

"Our actions were in response to residents’ concerns and police intelligence work. We will always act upon information given to us as we continue ongoing efforts to drive criminality away from the town," he added.
