Second woman dies after bus crash

A second woman has died after a crash last week involving a car and a bus.

Cumbria Police said Christine Dale, 77, of Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire, died in hospital on Sunday.

She was a passenger in the Hyundai involved in Thursday's crash at junction 37 of the A684 near Kendal.

The driver of the car, 85-year-old Rita Thomas, also of Thornton-Cleveleys, died in hospital on Friday. Police asked anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
