From the Oklahoma! Prom to Malcolm Sargent's 500th celebration the breadth of this season has been vast. Here are some of the highlights from the season...

Prom 1: First Night of the Proms

From the First night of the Proms watch John Adams' Harmonium, award-winning pianist Igor Levit play Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto, and the world premiere of St John’s Dance by British composer Tom Coult.

Prom 8: Celebrating John Williams

Featuring scores from Star Wars, Harry Potter, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and Indiana Jones. Keith Lockhart – a long-time colleague of Williams at the Boston Pops Orchestra – conducts the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra.

Prom 13: Malcolm Sargent's 500th Prom

Marking 50 years since the death of Malcolm Sargent, Sir Andrew Davis and the Â鶹ԼÅÄ SO recreate Sargent’s 500th Prom. With music by Elgar, Holst, Walton and Berlioz, as well as Schumann’s mercurial Piano Concerto, with Beatrice Rana as soloist.

Prom 15: The Songs of Scott Walker (1967–70)

Watch Jarvis Cocker, John Grant, Susanne Sundfør and Richard Hawley pay tribute to the extraordinary career of Scott Walker.

Prom 27: Ella and Dizzy: A Centenary Tribute

Celebrating the centenary of jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie. Grammy Award-winning vocalist Dianne Reeves and trumpeter James Morrison perform their greatest hits.

Prom 28: National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain

The UK’s finest young musical talent in a vibrant programme conducted by Thomas Adès featuring Stravinsky’s thrilling The Rite of Spring.

Prom 35: John Wilson conducts Oklahoma!

Watch Proms favourite John Wilson and his orchestra bring their signature energy and swagger to this much-loved classic.

Prom 53: Beneath the Underdog: Charles Mingus Revisited

Jules Buckley and his Metropole Orkest celebrate the legendary composer, bandleader and bass player Charles Mingus, featuring artists Shabaka Hutchings, Christian Scott and Kandace Springs.

Prom 55: Classical Music of India and Pakistan

The Proms marked the 70th anniversary of partition and independence on the Indian subcontinent with a concert curated by by Darbar Trust, producers of the [?] Darbar Festival, representing the classical music of India and Pakistan with Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee and Fareed Ayaz, Abu Muhammad Qawwal & Brothers.

Prom 57: Swing No End

Relive the irrepressible big band music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and more.

Prom 62: Chineke!

Watch the critically acclaimed Chieneke! with Cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, winner of the 2016 Â鶹ԼÅÄ Young Musician competition, soprano Jeanine De Bique and conductor Kevin John Edusei all making their Proms debut here.

Prom 65: Stax Records: 50 Years of Soul

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra pay tribute to this pioneering label in a concert featuring hits from Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes and Johnnie Taylor with special guests Tom Jones, Nadia Rose, Booker T. Jones, Beverley Knight and Eddie Floyd.
