It's been 3 years since Sam Smith's ground breaking debut album, In The Lonely Hour, and as Fearne says the numbers behind it are more than impressive: 8 weeks at number 1, 12.4 million albums sold, 3 Brit Awards, 4 Grammys. A tough act to follow if you weren't in fact Sam Smith himself, his new album The Thrill of It All is looking to be as big as the first and so it's fitting that he was given his own show last night on Â鶹ԼÅÄ One to perform some world exclusive's for Fearne Cotton and a very lucky audience at Television Centre.

We've missed you, Sam, here's what's new...

1. Get this man on broadway

Who knew Sam spoke Diva fluently? Sam wound-up fans backstage with a little performance of his own, all filmed on hidden cameras, Sam's seen dismissing the cutest Labrador puppies from his dressing room because 'I asked for pugs!', he spits out his non-dairy cup of tea and has an outfit meltdown. Undoubtedly an Oscar worthy performance in the corridors of Television Centre.

2. He's a 'very happy man'

Despite the break-up songs Sam's actually in a 'very happy relationship' as he tells Fearne. Hopefully writing good songs and being chirpy aren't mutually exclusive otherwise either Sam's love life or album sales might take a tumble.

3. Cheese is the enemy

Stop eating so much cheese
Sam Smith

When Fearne asked him what advice would he give to his younger self he replied 'stop eating so much cheese'.

Perhaps he should consider writing more R & Brie songs?

4. The perfect wedding crasher

First off the best woman deserves a medal; smuggling Sam Smith into a wedding, getting him to serenade the brides whilst keeping it all a secret, that's impressive. As Sam tells Fearne his role in the LGBT community is very important to him and being able to surprise Bec and Lisa on their special day is testament to that.

5. His voice is better than ever

Sam told Fearne that since getting healthy his voice is better than ever, no wonder Writing's On The Wall won him an Oscar.

6. Him and Fearne make the cutest BFFs

The love between these two was so strong.
