ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ

Community Service Volunteers (CSV) are working with the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ in the North West to launch a project to make sure that vulnerable and isolated people in the North West are aware of the switch to digital TV in November 2009 - and we need your help!

We're looking for community-minded people to come on board and help spread the message about digital switchover to the maximum number of people.

We need you to help by going out into your community and raising awareness and understanding of digital switchover and the support that is available via the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Help Scheme. This will include vulnerable and isolated neighbours.

There are lots of voluntary roles available in the project, the first being a full-time volunteer to work in Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester.Μύ You will work with CSV and ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ staff to co-ordinate the project in the region, including recruiting and managing volunteer β€˜Community Champions’ for the project.Μύ

You’ll have good organisational skills, the ability to enthuse others, and be passionate about helping vulnerable and isolated people through digital switchover in the North West.Μύ

Neighbour

The Community Champions will spread the word through outreach activity to encourage others to be a good neighbour and take time to talk directly with anyone who they think may need support or advice.

As a full time volunteer you will be fully trained in the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Help Scheme, the basics of digital switchover and how best to get the message across to vulnerable people.Μύ
