Parallel Lives

Muslim and non-Muslim friends
Mates: on and off the pitch

Multicultural mates

In our Parallel Lives debate, we want to hear the positive side of mixing with different communities. If your friends and neighbours are Muslim - or vice versa - and you all get along just fine, tell us. And send us a photo:

Whether it's at work, at school or college, or on the football field, we all mix with people of different cultures. But do you count Muslims among your friends? If you're Muslim, do you mix with your white neighbours?

Jack Straw is worried that the two communities don't mix. But we want to hear a different view. Use the form below, to show how whites and Muslims in your communityÌýall live, work and have fun together:

  • How long have you been friends?
  • What activities do you share?
  • Are you in the same football or cricket team?
  • What about mixed relationships?

Photos

Let's show Jack Straw the positive side of multicultural Manchester!

Send your photo of you and your Muslim mates. And don't forget to tell us who's who on the photo and what you do together:
