In celebration of the event’s tenth birthday, the organisers are offering two winners’ places on the EVNT Showcase, which last year saw over 30 shows take place across the Northern Quarter. Futuresonic is the UK's premier electronic music and media arts festival and has seen performances in the past from the likes of Jamie Lidell, A Guy Called Gerald, Andy Weatherall, Graham Massey's Toolshed and The Matthew Herbert Big Band, in not just the Northern Quarter but at the Bridgewater Hall and Urbis as well.
Entries for the EVNT competition will be judged by a panel of industry, club and music figures. Deadline for entries is Monday 1 May, so get your skates on if you want to enter. Of course, alongside the prize winners, there’ll be plenty of other events on, and and all those who enter will automatically be invited to take part in the showcase, though won't get the Futuresonic team putting on their event like the winners will. But the festival organisers will be happy to 'match-make' promoters to venues, and if you miss the deadline for the competition, you can still make proposals for to be part of the EVNT showcase until Monday 22 May.
