Millionaires in mind

Cash crisis!

Beccy Ghessen is interviewed by Phil Klein.

When I asked Beccy about the easiest way to make a million pounds, she said she would need either to win the lottery or to cut back on food!听
She also saw the possibility of earning a million pounds by getting a high paid job, be it as a banker, or maybe a psychologist.听 In any case, 鈥淎 job where people would expect a lot of you.鈥

A wad of toy money

She saw the possibility of becoming a television psychologist 鈥 like Dr Phil 鈥 and earning a million that way.听 It wouldn鈥檛 happen overnight, but it would be possible eventually.
In terms of how she would spend the money, she decided that she would buy a car, a Mitsubishi Lancer V11, and a motorbike, as well as giving money to charity and looking after her family.

She thought that the money would go quite quickly, in perhaps a year or two. Her priority would be her family, to take care of all their needs, which she imagined would cost her in the region of 拢300,00 to 拢400,000.

Phil Klein is interviewed by Becky Ghessen.

Phil鈥檚 in his thirties, and his passions are writing and performing 鈥 particularly comedy.听
The question I put to Phil was 鈥榟ow would you come up with a million pounds?鈥 He dismissed crime and robbing a bank but said his biggest chance would be to write a successful book.听 If got his hands on that sort of cash he would like really love to travel, to America in particular but also Australia and Asia.听

open till

I asked if he鈥檇 give any of his riches away to charity.听 He said, 鈥渋f I came across people with good ideas about what they wanted to do with their lives and the only thing they lacked was the money, I could help out.鈥澨 He questioned whether in general people know how to spend large amounts of cash and could end up wasting it.

Ahmed Farah

Ahmed Farah

Ahmed Farah is interviewed by Ahmed Mussa.

Ahmed Farah said the only way for him to get a million pounds in the short-term is to听 win the lottery.听

He had only one aim, 鈥渢o set up an NGO back home in Somalia for a good cause.鈥澨 He said听 it could be a school or hospital, 鈥淪omething which will benefit the community and something I will be involved in to make sure the money goes to the right people who need it the most.鈥澨
When asked if he would give any of his cash to people here in Britain, he said that by investing his money in Somalia, he would be indirectly helping the Somali community here because they would not have to worry so much about the situation back home.

Ahmed Mussa is interviewed by Ahmed Farah.

According to Ahmed the most likely way of him getting hold of one million pounds is 鈥渢o win the lottery鈥. Ahmed has lived in Tower Hamlets for the past 14 years and would be keen to give back to his community if he had that kind of money.

Youth project in Tower Hamlets

Ahmed would like to set up youth centres for teenagers in order to keep youths off the streets. 鈥淭his way they are less vulnerable to criminal activity鈥 he says.
According to Ahmed, Tower Hamlets borough lacks youth centres and that is why he has chosen this.听
