I’d like to talk a little bit about football because it’s one of my favourite sports despite the fact that I don’t know much about it. First, I think the word football comes from the two words ‘foot’ and ‘ball’.Ìý The other thing is that I heard the World Cup started in 1872, but I’m not sure because I wasn’t there to prove it to you, but it is when the first Official International football match was held.Ìý Some people say that the accurate year is 1870. The English football team was also formed in 1870 and it was called for a match against Scotland by the Football Association and the match was on 5 March 1870 and resulted one: one.Ìý That’s a little bit history of football.

At present football has become famous and popular. People are crazy about it for example;Ìý like me the way I love football I wish I was a boy so that I could have a chance to play even 1 minute though in my country no football.Ìý Oh! I have remembered my favourite teams are England and Brazil. I support the English team because I live in England and it’s now like my country.Ìý Though, I’m not English. I like Brazil because they are the champions to be honest and because in my school, we had to choose a team from a box so I picked theÌý Brazilian team and I always pray and wish I get a chance to see the World Cup live not just on TV.Ìý

Anyway let’s who will take the World Cup this time because for me I can’t judge because the teamsÌý play their best and footballÌý you can just win in 1Ìý minute likeÌý England in 1966. So for me it’s hard to tell which one will be the champion for this year. 26.7.06

27.07.06 - I know the results now Italy took the World Cup this year. Actually I didn’t think they were going to be the champions but honestly they are.
