Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer offers downloads in Standard and High Quality. High Quality downloads are larger and take longer to download.
As a guide, file sizes are:
High Quality (encoded at 1500kbps):
- 30-minute programme:Β 315MB
- 60-minute programme:Β 630MB
Standard Quality (encoded at 800kbps):
- 30-minute programme:Β 160MB
- 60-minute programme:Β 320MB
Standard Quality is the default setting for downloads on mobile devices. You can switch between Standard and High Quality downloads in Settings on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer app.Β
Run out of storage space on your device?
To free up space you can either delete downloaded programmes in the Downloads section of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer app, or you can delete apps and files elsewhere on your device, perhaps old apps that are no longer used, or files that are backed up elsewhere.
