Live Naked Idiots - Andrew Peasron (r)

At eighteen Andrew left his home in Beverley in East Yorkshire to attend LAMDA with the hope of following a theatrical career. Shortly after completing his studies he landed the role of Jason Seabright in the ITV series, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries. He says the experience was rewarding and he learned a great deal about acting for television in a short space of time.

Acting is a competitive area in which to find work and although he was on the books of an agent with some well known clients, he readily admits his agent spent more time with the high profile names on their books than a relative unknown. Therefore he set about creating a career for himself. Composing music and directing are just some of his talents which he's used over many years. He's directed and written the musical scores for over 50 productions on film, television, stage and radio. He also works in the corporate field leading workshops in various parts of the UK.

As a side interest and something which began during his time at LAMDA is fight directing. Although he put it behind him for a time, he's recently resurrected his interest and diversified using his skills to teach sword fighting for dramatic purposes and also includes some confidence building work in the training he gives.

For the Wilberforce 2007 commemorations he was pleased to be involved in a production of 'Disposable People'. He say she worked with people who were able to share his creative vision. The Boat Shed location at the Hull Marina enabled him to work once again with Thom Strid who wrote the play based on a book by Professor Kevin Bales. The set was designed by a leading stage designer who's worked with many rock and pop artists including Kylie Minogue.

During his interview Andrew talks about the Live Naked Idiots who will be appearing at Hull's second comedy festival taking place in October. For the last two years, Andrew's already worked in the comedy field with 'The Hull Blokes', in a directorial role rather than performing for a couple of years. He says appearing with the Idiots gives him an opportunity to act again with a group of people who enjoy working together. Born out of the need for more acts to appear at the first Hull Comedy Festival in 2007, Andrew volunteered his services to the event organiser and pulled together and formed the troop with some local talent and a friend and colleague who'd recently moved to the north.
