Sixty children spent half a day finding out what it's really like behind the scenes at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Hull. The afternoon was a reward for entering a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ schools film project, Junior Look North Reporter.

Twenty schools from across the region took part in producing and filming local stories.

The hands on activity afternoon allowed the children to take part in short taster sessions across TV, radio and online.

The day ended with certificates and a 30 minute screening of all the films on the city centre's Big Screen.

"Absolutely fantastic… I definitely want to work in television" commented Aidan, 13 from St Francis School.

"The students were truly inspired by their experience. They talked all the way home about their next news report they wanted to create and how they would consider a job in the media." said Suzanne Wright, teacher at Vale of Ancholme.
