James' guest roster draws heavily from the world of music. He attracts big name stars who are visiting the area, those engaged UK tours or who have a new album out.

Equally high on the agenda is his commitment to the local music scene. Local musicians often drop by the studio to tells us about their latest appearances and projects.

Most music genres are catered for; pop, northern soul, rock, folk and dance to name a few all get a look in. Tune in anytime, there's more music variety than any other local station.

It's not just about the music. James is a keen sports' fan and is just at home having a natter to sporting heroes, legends and local personalities. Football, rugby (either code!) boxing, wrestling. You name it James does them all.

He also knows how to relax too and and is known to tackle consumer issues, or more rightly consuming issues. On your behalf, he often gives his taste buds a workout by sampling some gastric delights to help you decide how to spend your leisure time.
