The Commandery is located to the south-east of Worcester Cathedral, beside Sidbury Lock on the River Severn. Exhibits in The Commandery detail the events leading up to the battle and the course of the conflict itself, as well as other Civil War conflicts. Visitors can join a mock jury to try Charles I, and walk through a recreation of the Scots troop encampment as it might have been on the eve of the battle.
Opening Times: Monday-Saturday 10am - 5pm Sunday 1pm- 5pm.

The cottage in which Elgar was born on 2 June 1857 is in the heart of the countryside he loved, near the Teme valley and facing the Malvern Hills.
Opening Times: Open seven days a week from 11am - 5pm every day, last admission at 4.15pm. The museum closes for four weeks every winter - dates vary. Please phone to confirm winter opening.

Built in 1480, with early 17th and late 18th century additions, this timber-framed house was rescued from demolition at the time of the Second World War and has been carefully restored and refurbished; interesting textiles and furnishings add character to the panelled rooms; an archway leads through to a delightful garden - a haven of peace in the centre of a busy city

The Guildhall was built between 1721 and 1723. It was then, as it is now, the centre for administration within the city. Built in the Queen Anne style it boasts one of the most beautifully decorated Italianate rooms in the country. - the Assembly Room. This room is now home to a restaurant which offers tasty food 6 days a week.
