Plein Air is a French term meaning 'open air' and refers to a style of Impressionist painting created outdoors, giving the artist an opportunity to capture the effects light has on a subject at a specific moment in time

In celebration of his twentieth year as a published artist, Thomas Kinkade is on tour in Britain, visiting with collectors by making two special personal appearances this month.

They were on Sunday July 4th in the City of London and Friday July 9th in Broadway, Worcestershire.

At these events, Thomas Kinkade shared his inspirational message; talking about his art, his family, faith and charity associations.

The beneficiary of the London event is the World Emergency Relief and for the Broadway event it's St Richards Hospice.

During these evenings, Thom auctioned off a signed limited edition canvas with 100% of the proceeds going to the chosen charity.

As part of his visit to London, on the afternoon of July 5th, Thom painted the London landmarks of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament using a Plein Air style (see our facts section).

Thomas Kinkade is America's most-collected living artist, a painter-communicator whose tranquil, light-infused paintings bring hope and joy to millions each year.

The company's primary products are canvas and paper reproductions that feature Mr. Kinkade's artistic unique use of light and his peaceful and inspiring themes.
