The exhibition includes work by Harry O' Connor who specialises in digital illustration. Here Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Hereford and Worcester Rachel Willis finds out more about him.

Since finishing his illustration degree at Herefordshire college of Art and Design, Harry has had exhibitions at The Courtyard's new centre for the arts, All Saints chapel (Multimedia projection in association with eatimages, Hereford) and at the Porcelain Gallery, Worcester.

Harry is currently working on Voodoochilli which is a collaboration of two illustrators. They work together as a team producing powerful, provocative and alternative images. Harry explains "Voodoochilli provides visual solutions that can inspire, captivate and possibly make you laugh. Our work is completely different, one of us creates digital imagery and the other creates illustrations using photomontage. This enables us to work independently but also gives us the added insight and knowledge of what the other does."

Meaningless
'Meaningless' By Harry O'Connor

Have you worked on anything in the local area?
"So far all of the work I have done has been locally. I have just finished a job for the Co-operative foster care agency in Malvern which was a set of three age appropriate leaflets".

Do you feel there is enough support for local artists?
"There is support in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, its just finding it. There are limited funds available.
The most support I have had is from Eatimages, Hereford. They spotted me during my final exhibition at Hereford Art college, and have given me the opportunity to work on some local projects including involvement in the leaflet design for The Children of Chernobyl project which was held at the Left Bank, Hereford.

Lamp (Local Art Made Public) also gave me the opportunity to show off my work at The Courtyard, Herefords biggest art event".

Do you want to stay in the area?
"I think the fact that the design industry is quite small in the local area is the only drawback. Most people seem to move to other areas such as London, Birmingham or Bristol. I want to stay here because I love the area, but I might have to more to further my career".

The LAMP exhibition is running at , Hereford until Saturday 6th April.
