Gizzi Erskine
Chef and food writer Gizzi is an advocate and innovator of the pop-up and underground food scenes. Best known for presenting Channel 4's Cook Yourself Thin, she has also published the hugely successful Gizzi's Kitchen Magic and Skinny Weeks and Weekend Feasts, as well as fronting TV shows Cooks To Market, Cookery School and Drop Down Menu. She contributes to InStyle, Grazia and is the Sunday Times cook with a weekly column in the Sunday Times Magazine.
She has opened five pop-ups in recent years; one with Innocent Smoothies at the Tramshed in Shoreditch, one at Clarence House in association with START, A Tiki Lounge at Bestival, an East London gourmet pie shop and K Town at Concrete in Shoreditch which took inspiration from the Korean hole-in-the-wall scene in New York. Gizzi also hosted a cookery and cabaret stage at Latitude Festival with demonstrations, live food-related cabaret acts, live bands and DJ sets from Gizzi herself.
