β€œThe girls like their toys too! ”

Born in Dublin, raised at points in an orphanage and expelled from school at 16, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was never going to be a predictable movie star. After his big break in Neil Jordan's Michael Collins, the Irish lad's done Shakespeare in Titus (1998), TV fantasy in Gormenghast (2000), footie drama in Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and most notably, excruciating outfits in 70s glam rock drama Velvet Goldmine (1998). And after working with Woody Allen on the London-set Match Point, Meyers has surprised once again: he's gone mainstream to play Tom Cruise's right-hand man in action sequel Mission: Impossible 3.
