Timothy Spall has played many memorable characters in a career spanning almost 30 years, but none have been more demanding than real-life executioner Albert Pierrepoint. The Mike Leigh regular delivers one of his finest performances to date in British drama Pierrepoint, which co-stars Juliet Stevenson and Eddie Marsan. It's a return to low budget movies for Spall, who's established himself as one of Hollywood's favourite character actors in recent years with roles in The Last Samurai and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
