Freaky Friday DVD (2003)

Jamie Lee Curtis and bright young talent Lindsay Lohan head up this "conventional but pleasantly cosy remake of the 1976 Jodie Foster body-swap comedy." The DVD release offers few decent extra features, but it's good fun - just like the movie.

Cast Of Charmers

Regular DVD watchers will be familiar with sickly featurettes that try to show off a cast that are meant to be as wacky as the comedy they're in. In fact, they're anything but. Little behind-the-scenes efforts like Backstage Pass With Lindsay Lohan are no less slight in content, but work in this case because everyone featured comes across as infectiously funny.

All Grown Up

Jamie Lee Curtis easily gets the best PR, especially with the blooper reel where she seems to be having a ball. All very inconsequential, but this is a fun disc that should have made greater capital of the stars on offer with more extra features. In fact what's on offer will leave you wanting more - especially from Jamie Lee Curtis.
