Swimfan DVD (2002)

It's not just your imagination that the teen thriller "Swimfan" is inspired by "Fatal Attraction". Indeed, both the director and cast talk at length about the 80s classic on this DVD.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Picture This is a great-looking transfer to disc, especially during the icy blue swimming pool scenes.

Sound A busy 5.1 mix does all it can to accentuate the thrills, effectively immersing you during those watery moments.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Audio Commentary Director John Polson is joined by his lead actors, Erika Christensen and Jesse Bradford, for a chatty commentary that's easy to enjoy, although don't expect to learn much.

Erika injects some fun into the proceedings, teasing the on-screen characters for their inability to spot danger heading their way. John, meanwhile, tries to talk about the making of the film, although most of the time he gets waylaid in general chatter.

Girlfriend from Hell This ten-minute making of featurette kicks off with the actors taking it in turn to describe just how crazy Erika Christensen's character, Madison Belle, is. Erika reveals she drew inspiration from Glenn Close's performance in "Fatal Attraction".

Deleted Scenes There are ten short deleted scenes on this disc, with optional commentary. There are some favourite moments for John Polson that had to be cut out, so it's worth having a look at some of the material here.

Additional Extra Features Also on this disc is a trailer, TV spots, and a radio spot.
