Something to Talk About DVD (1995)

"Something to Talk About" is yet another story of infidelity and family ties, with a quirky comedy slant that boasts some fine performances. It only caused a minor ripple when it came out, but it's worth seeing, especially with this quality DVD transfer.

While not an outstanding film, it does boast beautiful cinematography that is a pleasure to watch. The muted country hues come out well in a picture that is solid and warm on disc.

The 5.1 sound mix appropriately has little in the way of effects to pump out. But there's plenty of atmospheric ambient noise like bird twittering to soak you into the mood of the movie.

A trailer makes up the only extra feature on this disc. A little information on the background of the movie might have been nice, especially with the pedigree of talent involved.
