Μύ This modern twist on "The Taming of the Shrew" made for one of the best teen comedies yet. Fresh, funny and written in a subtle but clever style, this is a must-have film that gets a classy DVD release.
Don't think that means extras because there are none. That's not going to stop fans owning this disc but the release of the similarly brilliant "Cruel Intentions" benefited from a fascinating director's commentary.
The hip, young cast all look sickeningly fresh on this transfer with great flesh tones. The movie is filled with a cute, vibrant colour scheme that's pleasingly grain free.
The busy soundtrack keeps the pop tunes coming, with Julia Stiles' sexy table dance accompanied by a song that makes the most of a pounding subwoofer beat. If you love the film you'll be thrilled with the extra enjoyment this superb transfer adds, but it's a bit stingy of Touchstone to not even stick on a trailer.
