Poulenc’s Sonata shows the versatility, variety beauty of the flute. The Orchestra’s own Principal Flute will feature in Fauré’s evocative Pavane, before the two flautists join together for Delibes Flower Duet.
Alongside these we hear Ravel’s Mother Goose, in which Flute and Piccolo play important roles as the orchestra tell this classic fairy tale.
