2013 is a momentous year for Fall Out Boy and we are mightily privileged to have them back at Reading and Leeds for their only UK festival performance.
The Illinois four-piece don't follow the rules to make their mark - be that entering the Guinness World Book of Records for the most interviews conducted by a duo in 24 hours, or theming their tour around Where the Wild Things Are because, as bassist Pete Wentz explains, "It encapsulates pretty much every FOB song ever written: You know, tantrums and monster islands and all."
FOB constantly evolve their sound by working with many different producers and borrowing elements of hip hop and punk to create anthemic singles such as Sugar, We're Goin' Down and Thnks fr th Mmrs.
The band took a break in 2009 to concentrate on solo projects but rumours have always circulated suggesting they are back in the studio and ready to return. The release of single My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up) and promise of a new album tells us that the stage is set and the time is now.
