Concert Information
Tchaikovsky's captivating First Symphony Winter Daydreams is one of the most important milestones in the history of the symphony. Despite the deep anguish it caused (Tchaikovsky's mental and physical health suffered so much during its composition that the 26-year old felt he may not survive), it laid the foundation for not only Tchaikovsky's symphonic career, but paved the way for a new style of Russian symphonic writing.
Enjoy the Symphony's seductive melodies and masterful folksong-inspired rhythms with the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mischa Damev, and hear violinist and Â鶹ԼÅÄ New Generation Artist Esther Yoo perform Russian composer Andrei Golovin's Canto d'attesa (Song of Expectancy) for violin and orchestra.
This concert will be broadcast live on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3.

We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early.
