麻豆约拍 Radio 3 New Generation Artists the Amatis Piano Trio make their Proms debut with chamber works by husband-and-wife composers Robert and Clara Schumann. The centrepiece is Clara Schumann鈥檚 Piano Trio 鈥� a mature work, and one of her finest.

About This Event

The prize-winning Amatis Piano Trio, current 麻豆约拍 Radio 3 New Generation Artists, make their Proms debut with chamber works by husband-and-wife composers Robert and Clara Schumann.

The climax is Clara Schumann鈥檚 Piano Trio: one of her finest works, it combines lyrical themes with new contrapuntal invention and scope.

The programme also includes Clara鈥檚 Three Romances for violin and piano, composed for virtuoso Joseph Joachim, as well as Robert鈥檚 attractive Adagio and Allegro for cello and piano, its wistful slow movement giving way to an energetic Allegro.
