Fri 27 Jun 2014 Other Stage
Sunny side up

A Glastonbury old-timer having performed on the Pyramid Stage in 2007, the Scottish wonder boy Paolo Nutini brings his funkadelic, ground stomping vintage RnB to the Other Stage on Friday evening.

The Scottish singer-songwriter born in Paisley made his first demo which saw him signed to Atlantic Records in May 2005, shortly after his 18th birthday. In an epic start to 2014 he scored the fastest-selling album of the year so far with Caustic Love, five years since Paolo’s last album Sunny Side Up.

In late 2007 he appeared on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 1's Established 1967 album covering Labi Siffre's It Must Be Love and his recent Radio 1 Live Lounge with Fearne Cotton, in which he covered fellow Scottish band Cvrches' Recover went down a storm.

Paolo delivers vintage soul through a raspy modern vocal supported by a stomping band and a horn section that hits you like a welcome slap in the face. It will be well worth making your way to The Other Stage to allow the 27 year old Scotsman to funk your life up.
