About this event
Â鶹ԼÅÄ Music Day celebrates the power and diversity of music-making - showcasing talent, bringing people together and creating a unique sense of occasion through live music events and performances across the UK on Friday 3rd June.
This Â鶹ԼÅÄ Music Day, let the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra, along with the Cornwall Family Orchestra and Chorus, and Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3 New Generation Artist Annelien van Wauwe, take you on a thrilling, family-friendly journey through some of the greatest music ever written, at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro.
The concert includes Stravinsky’s magical Firebird Suite, ‘Mambo’ from Bernstein’s West Side Story, Ginastera’s ‘Four Dances’ from Estancia, his captivating evocation of the spirit of Argentina, and orchestral excerpts from Bizet’s feisty opera, Carmen.
