Concert Information
Join Barry Rose as he celebrates his 60th anniversary of working with the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers by conducting a special performance of Stainer's The Crucifixion, an oratorio considered to be one of the cornerstones of Victorian choral music.
Taking place in the striking setting of Guildford Cathedral - the cathedral for which Barry founded the cathedral choir in 1961 - soloists Peter Auty and Jeremy Carpenter are former choristers who have sung under Barry at St Paul's Cathedral, now coming together to sing alongside current choristers and the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers.
There will be a chance to join in with what Barry considers "some of the most memorable hymn tunes we shall ever hear".
This special concert will be broadcast live on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3 and across Europe on the EBU.
