About This Event

Winner of the Elgar Society medal, Conductor Laureate Tadaaki Otaka celebrates his 30th year with Â鶹ԼÅÄ NOW and his 70th birthday with an all Elgar programme at Â鶹ԼÅÄ Hoddinott Hall. Opening with Cockaigne, mezzo Catherine Wyn-Rogers then joins for Sea Pictures, and the concert closes with In the South – Elgar’s evocative tone poem, set in the Italian south.

*Please note, Catherine Wyn-Rogers is no longer able to perform due to illness. We're thrilled contralto Claudia Huckle will feature as today's soloist.
