About This Event

In the centenary year marking the end of the First World War, the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra performs War Horse: The Story In Concert for a special radio recording. With guest narrators including Simon Callow, we tell the emotionally-charged story of Joey, the young farm horse who finds himself taken from the calm of the English countryside and thrust into the horrors of the Western Front’s battlefields.

This performance features Adrian Sutton’s acclaimed score, composed originally for the National Theatre’s production of Michael Morpurgo’s tale.

Also featuring the Hertfordshire Chorus and singer Tim Van Eyken, this special concert for Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 2 takes place at Coventry Cathedral and you could be in the audience to see it.
