About This Event
Workshop will run from 11AM - 12PM
Join conductor Jason Max Ferdinand, pianist John Stoddart and singer Cedric Dent (Jason Max Ferdinand Singers and Take Six) for a joyful Come & Sing workshop, where participants will explore classical, jazz and gospel choral music, including music the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers will perform at its Prom.
This free session is held in the Royal College of Music, just moments from the Royal Albert Hall - attendees are encouraged to book for Prom 64 featuring the dynamic Jason Max Ferdinand Singers at 2pm. All ages welcome.
The Jason Max Ferdinand Singers has appeared at Washington DC’s Kennedy Center and collaborated with Coldplay and Jacob Collier, who has described the experience as ‘transformative to a life-altering degree.’ Making its UK debut, these powerful voices present an uplifting matinee Prom, with music including the jazz standard ‘Misty’ and Collier’s harmonically shapeshifting ‘World O World’ while exploring themes of faith and freedom, not least in Woody Guthrie’s gospel-influenced song that declares: ‘This land was made for you and me.’
