About this event
Following Hitler's invasion of Poland earlier in the day, wartime arrangements for broadcasting came into force and the Â鶹ԼÅÄ withdrew their orchestra from London and the Promenade concerts. The second half of this concert was abruptly cancelled, as was the rest of the season.
