That dragonfly is called a 鈥済lobe skimmer鈥� and in Tebogo Monnakgotla鈥檚 fabulous new violin concerto it鈥檚 played by former 麻豆约拍 New Generation Artist Johan Dalene. 鈥淚 was amazed by this young player who radiated musical curiosity, approaching the most experimental music with the same curiosity as with Nielsen or Sibelius鈥� she says. For Sakari Oramo, meanwhile, Sibelius and Nielsen are the passions of a lifetime: music in which he always has something distinctive and fresh to say.
