Vampire Weekend
Sun 30 Jun 2013 Pyramid Stage
Live Fast

Fresh from the release of their third studio album Modern Vampires of the City – a name they announced via a classified ad in a newspaper, New York’s indie rock royalty Vampire Weekend take to the Pyramid stage.

It’s been six years since the release of Contra and the new material brings a slicker, more developed sound that is no less infectious and irresistible than before.

While lead vocalist Ezra Koenig and keys player Rostam Batmanglij have remained at the helm of the band’s writing and production, they have welcomed an outside producer in for the first time in Ariel Rechtshaid whose collaborative credentials include Charlie XCX and Usher.

The cheery, youthful sounds of the Vampire Weekend we’re familiar with blended with the more experimental and confident edge of their new material is sure to offer the perfect vibe for Glastonbury 2013 - one of only a handful of UK dates announced for 2013.
