Flying high

Local Natives stormed in to the world of mellow-indie rock with debut album Gorilla Manor in 2009. Enchanting armies of fans with the enslaving refrain of Airplanes, the LA quartet wowed label heads whilst performing at SWSX, drawing comparisons with Fleet Foxes and Vampire Weekend.

Specialising in beat-driven close harmonies with a psychedelic touch, the band released second album Hummingbird earlier this year after completing a European tour opening for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

With charming folk and impressive vocals creating a buzz for these earnest rock stars only at the start of their career, don't be a stranger when they mesmerise Pilton.
