Earlier this year, Billy Bragg released his first studio album in five years; his 13th in total. Recorded in California, Tooth & Nail saw the prolific and politically charged singer-songwriter engage with his mellower side and experiment heavily with Americana and country styles.
In 2012, Bragg was invited to deliver the John Peel Lecture in Manchester. He used the platform to talk about Peel's legacy (he was the DJ who gave Bragg his first break) and assess the importance of radio, education and creativity in the music industry.
He also heaped praise on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Introducing and its discovery of Jake Bugg, who played this very stage in 2011. Bragg will also take to the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Intro Stage for a surprise visit on his homage to Pilton.
