Conductor Ryan Bancroft comments how rooted so much of this extraordinary music is in the everyday, such as ‘a game of tennis, partners ambling home late, a young couple getting married’. This is music that transforms the familiar into the fantastical with a blend of dance and theatre. Jess Gillam brings her inimitable energy and advocacy to Karl Jenkins’ new work for saxophone and orchestra - a must for any Welsh musical calendar!
