About This Event
Join the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Orchestra, conductor Ben Palmer and award-winning special guest narrator, Simon Russell Beale as they take on two fun-filled musical adventures written by Michael Bond: Paddington's First Concert with music by Herbert Chappell, and Paddington at St. Paul's accompanied by delightful illustrations by R.W.Alley. Paddington’s First Concert sees him making his conducting debut in the Royal Albert Hall. In the brand new adventure Paddington at St Paul’s, our favourite bear is surprised to find himself a member of the Choir of St Paul’s Cathedral. The Â鶹ԼÅÄ SO provides musical accompaniment and interludes, and Paddington at St Paul’s is accompanied by projections of R. W. Alley’s illustrations from the book. A treat for all the family!
The concerts will be introduced by Blue Peter's Lindsey Russell and you are welcome to bring your teddy to the performance!
Try an Instrument!
As part of the Paddington Concert, you and your families have the opportunity to 'Try an Instrument' at a free workshop in the Milton Court foyers before the concerts.
There will be professional musicians on hand to show you how to play various instruments from the orchestra. Try out a trumpet in the brass section, strum a chord on the ukulele or bang a drum in the percussion section!
Everyone is welcome to join in, no need to book tickets. There are two sessions available:
Session 1: 13.15-13.45
Session 2: 15.15-15.45
