Concert Information

Today, the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic welcomes students from the RNCM’s Master of Music (MMus) and International Artist Diploma programmes.

Across two concerts on Friday 8 September, we’ll hear from four of the most exciting young musicians on the cusp of their international careers, as they showcase their talent. This is an unrivalled opportunity for them to conduct and perform with a professional broadcast orchestra as part of their final assessment.

In this, the second concert of the day starting at 3.45pm, we hear from conductors Xinjie Yang and Ann Miller, both on the Master of Music (MMus) programme. Xinjie conducts Dvořák's Hero's Song and Xilin Wang's Spring Rain in the Tea Plantation (first movement of Yunnan Scenes), whilst Ann conducts Tchaikovsky’s The Storm.

Programme:

Dvořák: A Hero's Song
Xilin Wang: Spring rain in a tea plantation
Tchaikovsky: The Storm
